Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in the EMBA program at the Department of Management Studies, IITM. As you are preparing to submit your application, we wish to highlight the following aspects of the application process.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN IN EACH SECTION WHILE FILLING YOUR APPLICATION. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO DOWNLOAD THE PDF FILE WITH THE GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS AND TAKE A PRINT OUT OF THE SAME FOR YOUR EASY REFERENCE.

1. Application Process
- Application should be submitted online.
- Passport size photo (in JPG)
- Signature photo (in JPG)
- 10th Marksheet
- 12th Marksheet
- Bachelor's Degree Certificate and Marksheets
- Documentry Evidence for Work Experience
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Sponsorship Letter from Employer(if applicable)
- CV with details of work experience only (not exceeding 3 pages)

2. Eligibility & Admission Procedure
WHO CAN APPLY
- 60% and above in Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (55% for SC/ST/PwD)
- Minimum 3 years of work experience after UG as on 31st Dec 2026.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
- Online Applications for admission to the EMBA program opens on 12th September 2026.
- The shortlisted candidates will go through the Selection process at the IIT Madras Campus on 14th & 15th November 2026 which comprises of a written aptitude test and a personal interview.
- Written aptitude test will be based on -Business Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability.
- Results are announced by December 2026 and the program will commence by January 2027.

3. Application deadline
- The deadline for submitting the application online is October 26th, 2026, 11.59pm. It is your responsibility to ensure that the application and the fee is submitted on or before the deadline. An application which is complete in all respects and for which the application fee has been received would be considered for the selection process.
4. Application fees & Mode of Payment
General, OBC & General-EWS
Application fee: Rs. 2000
(Non-refundable)
SC, ST & PwD
Application fee: Rs. 1000
(Non-refundable)
Mode of payment: The application fees have to be paid only through Internet Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card/ UPI. The deadline for submitting the application online is October 26th, 2026, 11.59pm Midnight. It is the applicants responsibility to ensure that the application and the fee is submitted by the deadline. Only those applications that are completed and for which the application fee has been received would be considered for the selection process.
5. Correctness of information provided
The applicant will bear the full responsibility for the correctness and accuracy of the information furnished in the application. Applicants are therefore strongly advised to verify the information provided by them before submitting the application. No changes are possible after the application has been submitted. Misrepresentation or providing wrong information, knowingly or otherwise, will result in the application being summarily rejected at any stage of the selection process and beyond.
