SUMMARY:EMBA  students Industrial visit
DESCRIPTION:IITM DoMS EMBA students from the 2023 and 2024 batches visited Hero MotoCorp at Sri City in Tada\, Andhra Pradesh. Twenty-six students from both EMBA batches toured the plant. The EMBA team spent a productive time at Hero MotoCorp\, where they had the opportunity to interact with company officials and meet the all-women assembly team responsible for assembling motorcycles. In addition to human workers\, students observed robots in action\, manufacturing engine parts for the bikes. It was a day well spent at the factory\, filled with valuable interactions.

He has played a pivotal role in encouraging students not only from IITM but also from other institutes. His motto – “to nurture young minds and guide them towards their start-up venture”. \n“To bounce back after failure” and “focus” are key ingredients for a start-up\, he continued. \nThis session provided deep insights into the perseverance and adaptability needed for startups\, and how failures can pave the way for success

DESCRIPTION:The Department of Management Studies (DoMS) at IIT Madras organized the 7th edition of their annual festival\, EMBARK 24 on August 24 at the ICSR Auditorium.\nThe event started off with the welcome address from Dr. Raghunathan Rengaswamy\, Dean of the Office for Global Engagement; Prof. M. Thenmozhi\, Head of the Department of Management Studies; Dr. S. Srinivasan\, EMBA Program Coordinator; and Prof. T.J. Kamalanabhan\, Professor in the Department of Management Studies.\nThe keynote address was delivered by Mr. Vignesh Kumar\, a veteran with 18 years of experience in SaaS\, PaaS\, and IaaS. Following the keynote\, several events took place\, including Vison to Venture\, Case Masters\, and Ad-Mastery. EMBARK attracted participants from various EMBA programs and industry professionals.\nThe event highlighted a diverse panel discussion featuring experts from healthcare\, automotive\, aviation\, supply chain management\, and insurance technology. The discussion focused on the intersection of humans\, machines\, and management in navigating the AI revolution.\nThe event concluded with an insightful address given by Dr. Sumanth C Raman\, founder of Algorithm Health Ltd. He also addressed challenges in AI adoption\, government policy issues\, speeding up drug discovery\, and advancing personalized medicine.\nEMBARK 24 brought together participants from various colleges offering Executive MBA program. \n

DESCRIPTION:We thank the HoD\, Prof. M. Thenmozhi for her continued support. \nThe event began with the EMBA mentors Prof. V. Vijayalakshmi and Prof. S. Srinivasan welcoming the batch and detailing what the two-year journey would entail.\nProf. G. Srinivasan welcomed them to the program as well\, post which  the Dean  (Academic Courses)\, Prof. Prathap Haridoss\, delivered the  Institute Address. Prof. Thillai Rajan A\, Hod-in-charge shared 3 keystone habits that would help students navigate the crucial next two years of their life most joyfully and effectively.\n\n\nThe Keynote Speech was from Mr. Ravi Santhanam\, a leadership coach and former Managing Director & CEO of Hindustan Motors & Mahindra Holidays. Mr. Santhanam’s talk on wisdom from leading a large corporation for over 40 years captivated the students.\nThis was followed by the much awaited panel discussion featuring EMBA alumni Mr. Srinivasan\, Ms. Vishali\, and Mr. Guru Prasanna. They shared their experiences and how the program has helped them shape their life and career..\nMr. Srinivasan spoke about how the EMBA program supported him professionally and how effectively classes were conducted during the pandemic. Mr. Guru Prasanna\, the topper of his batch\, shared his perspective on how consistent learning is\, as a key to achieving success\, emphasizing that networking has been one of the greatest benefits in the journey. Ms. Vishali discussed how application-oriented learning had helped her gain a deep understanding of the subjects. The panel discussion turned into an interactive session\, with the new students eagerly asking questions and the alumni providing thoughtful answers.\n\nThe EMBA team organized an icebreaker\, enabling students to interact and connect with each other. This session brought a fresh and lively atmosphere to the orientation\, and the students enjoyed it.
