CIFIL is proud to make its novel attempt to reach out to the Insurance Industry to start the dialogue on the challenges and opportunities encountered by the industry. The complex nature of such problems requires a multi-dimensional approach and hence, with this agenda, we are organising a Symposium to bring together industry leaders and members of Academia to discuss challenges faced by the industry and how academia can contribute. The symposium aims at reaching out to the insurance industry to collaborate on research projects of interest to stakeholders.

This one-day event brings together thought leaders and experts across industry and academia to diagnose insurance issues and collaboratively explore potential solutions. The symposium is uniquely designed to discuss the wicked problems as well as to propose solutions for these in the same forum. The forenoon session will have insightful speeches by senior industry leaders who will discuss the problems and challenges they face in the areas of Customer experience, Distribution, Product design and Risk management. The afternoon session will have experienced members of the academia to showcase how the problems may be addressed through academic and research expertise. The academia will talk about the application of cutting-edge technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Block chain, Game theory, Cybersecurity and Data analytics in finance.

The symposium is expected to set the right platform for the collaboration of industry and academia to solve real-world problems, in line with the objectives of CIFIL.
