“2nd DoMS Research Symposium”, was conducted at DoMS during January 16-17, 2015. It was aimed at presenting the current research pursued by Research Scholars of the Department. Scholars from various disciplines and faculties from different areas attended and actively participated in the event. Professor T J Kamalanabhan, head of the department inaugurated the symposium stressing the primacy of active learning, growth and contribution to and from research fields. Dr. Usha Mohan, Research Coordinator addressed the students on impactful research and publications. The event was scheduled into three tracks:
1. Behaviour and Decisions
2. Markets and Institutions
3. Technology and Organizations
Research papers by the scholars were reviewed by panelists of faculty members from DoMS with special expertise in different fields.
There was also Poster Presentation on various topics across various domains during the 2nd day of the symposium.
There were two guest lectures – one by Prof. L S Ganesh on “Journey of a Researcher” and another one by Prof. Bino Paul from Tata Institute of Social Science, Mumbai on “Methodological Challenges in Social Sciences Research”.
