The event began with the EMBA mentors Prof. V. Vijayalakshmi and Prof. S. Srinivasan welcoming the batch and detailing what the two-year journey would entail.
Prof. G. Srinivasan welcomed them to the program as well, post which the Dean (Academic Courses), Prof. Prathap Haridoss, delivered the Institute Address. Prof. Thillai Rajan A, Hod-in-charge shared 3 keystone habits that would help students navigate the crucial next two years of their life most joyfully and effectively.
The Keynote Speech was from Mr. Ravi Santhanam, a leadership coach and former Managing Director & CEO of Hindustan Motors & Mahindra Holidays. Mr. Santhanam’s talk on wisdom from leading a large corporation for over 40 years captivated the students.
This was followed by the much awaited panel discussion featuring EMBA alumni Mr. Srinivasan, Ms. Vishali, and Mr. Guru Prasanna. They shared their experiences and how the program has helped them shape their life and career..
Mr. Srinivasan spoke about how the EMBA program supported him professionally and how effectively classes were conducted during the pandemic. Mr. Guru Prasanna, the topper of his batch, shared his perspective on how consistent learning is, as a key to achieving success, emphasizing that networking has been one of the greatest benefits in the journey. Ms. Vishali discussed how application-oriented learning had helped her gain a deep understanding of the subjects. The panel discussion turned into an interactive session, with the new students eagerly asking questions and the alumni providing thoughtful answers.
The EMBA team organized an icebreaker, enabling students to interact and connect with each other. This session brought a fresh and lively atmosphere to the orientation, and the students enjoyed it.
