SANGAM

Sangam is a platform for research scholars at DoMS, IIT Madras. All scholars are default members of Sangam. It is managed by four or five bearers every year and functions as a nodal group for research scholar issues.

Sangam mainly functions as an interface between the student community and the members of faculty. Some of the other Sangam's functions include:

• Organizing events that include celebrating festivals at different points of the year, Orientation for freshers, Sangam Night and Teacher's day are the main events in the year. Sangam Night is organized on the next day of institute convocation every year
• Communicating important information from the department management to the scholars
• Keeping track of research scholar activities
• Allocating HTRA duties to scholars
